FAQ
Questions doctors ask
Is DermVault free?
Yes: no patient limit, no watermark, no ads.
Does it diagnose skin conditions?
No. DermVault is a record-keeping and comparison tool for registered medical practitioners. It does not diagnose or recommend treatment.
Where are the photos stored?
Only on your phone, in storage private to the app. DermVault has no servers and never receives patient data.
What if I change or lose my phone?
Turn on automatic backup to your Google Drive. On the new phone, install DermVault, tap "Restore a backup", sign in and enter your passphrase.
Can my clinic staff use it?
Yes. Each person has a PIN. Staff can capture visits for your approval but can't see earlier photos, notes or scores.
Is there an iPhone version?
Android comes first; the iPhone version is prepared and follows after Android testing.
Which languages?
English and Tamil, including printable consent forms in both.
